Abstract


We examimned W59 patients (male 5224, ferm le 4515), who have extraction history without any complex systemic disease. This patient were classified according to age, sex and causes such as dental caries, inflammation, apical lesion, tooth fracture, odontogenic cyst, impacted tooth, neoplasm, TMJ problem, jaw fracture and malocclusion.
The results were as follows :
1) In age distribution, third & fourth decade has the heighest prevalence.
2) In sexual prevalence, the male is higher than the female, except dental caries group.
3) In etiologic factor, dental caries is the most contributing factor of extraction followed by inflammation, apical lesion, tooth fracture, impacted tooth.
